چکیده

We present an efficient algorithm to compute the induced norms of finite-horizon Linear Time-Varying (LTV) systems. The formulation includes both L2 and terminal Euclidean norm penalties on outputs. Existing computational approaches include power iteration bisection a Riccati Differential Equation (RDE). has low computation time per but overall convergence can be slow. In contrast, RDE condition provides guaranteed bounds gain single integration complementary features these two algorithms are combined develop new that is fast provable upper lower within desired tolerance. also worst-case disturbance input achieves bound norm. proof which shows for this problem converges monotonically. Finally, we show controllability Gramian based simpler method L 2 -to-Euclidean This used reachable set at any horizon. Numerical examples provided demonstrate proposed algorithm.

An efficient numerical procedure to compute stabilizing state feedback gains for linear time-varying periodic systems

This report presents a procedure to synthesize a stabilizing periodic static state-feedback controller that does not explicitly need the application of the Floquet theory and which can be easily computed numerically. In addition to the complete uniform controllability condition, which is a common requirement in this kind of problem, the open-loop system must also be uniformly observable with th...

Delay-dependent finite-horizon time-varying bounded real lemma for uncertain linear neutral systems

A bounded real lemma (BRL) is presented here for continuous-time, finite-horizon, time-varying linear neutral systems with parametric uncertainties entering all the matrices of the system representation. The lemma uses a solution of a set of matrix inequalities by employing a descriptor model transformation of the system. The conditions which guarantee disturbance attenuation are dependent on t...

An efficient finite difference time domain algorithm for band structure calculations of Phononic crystal

In this paper, a new algorithm for studying elastic wave propagation in the phononic crystals is presented. At first, the displacement-based forms of elastic wave equations are derived and then the forms are discretized using finite difference method. So the new algorithm is called the displacement-based finite difference time domain (DBFDTD). Three numerical examples are computed with this met...

Optimal Finite-time Control of Positive Linear Discrete-time Systems

This paper considers solving optimization problem for linear discrete time systems such that closed-loop discrete-time system is positive (i.e., all of its state variables have non-negative values) and also finite-time stable. For this purpose, by considering a quadratic cost function, an optimal controller is designed such that in addition to minimizing the cost function, the positivity proper...

An Efficient Algorithm for Production Systems with Linear-Time Match

Combinatorial match in production systems (rule-based system) is problematical in several areas of production system application: real-time performance, learning new productions for performance improvement. modeling human cognition. and parallelization. The unique-attribute representation in production systems is a promising approach to eliminate match combinatorics. Earlier investigations have...
